GigaBUD HD860 Front Panel LED's

Front panel LEDs offer a real-time diagnostics and are one of the simplest tools for verifying system status during installation and troubleshooting. Earlier versions of the HD860 generation featured three front panel LEDs. In later revisions, a fourth LED was added to provide signal strength indication during Main mode operation.

  1. Master/ Main Mode - LED is Red and indicates that the unit is operating in main mode.
  2. Slave/ Cascade Mode - LED is Green and indicates that the unit is operating in cascade mode. Only of the Master/Slave LED will be lit at a time and not both.
  3. Power Status - This LED indicates the condition of the power supply. This is lit Green when the power supply is good and it turns Red when the power supply is not functioning upto spec.
  4. Signal Strength -  This LED is used to display the signal strength of the incoming signal when the unit is in Main mode. During the first 15 seconds after switching from Native to Main mode, the system evaluates the signal level. If the signal is within ±5% of the acceptable range, the LED turns Green. If the signal falls outside that range, the LED lights up Red.
