Z-Distribution FBR Rear Button Functionality

Z-Distribution FBR Rear Button Functionality

The Z-Distribution FBR / GigaBUD Video Hub 1000 uses a rear mounted button to control mode configuration and pilot tone settings. The type of setting it controls depends on the unit's operational mode.

  1. Master/Main mode unit: While the unit is in main mode and the button is held for ~5 seconds, the unit will stop broadcasting the tone and the pilot tone LED (fourth LED) light will change from yellow to green. Holding the red button again will turn the tone back on. Resetting the power from this point will return the unit to master with the tone being broadcasted.
  2. Slave/Cascade mode unit: While the unit is in cascade mode with no feed into "Cascade In" port and the button is held for ~5 seconds, the unit will switch to a native state and all four LED lights will be on on the front panel of the unit. When a feed is present then the red button function is disabled.
