Usage Notes

  1. This port is typically used for sending control signals to a TV’s RS232 port with help of the optional server-based web GUI platform ZHC-Insight.
  2. Always verify the cable compatibility and its pinout before using to avoid communication errors or equipment damage.
  3. If the end device/TV to be controlled has a DB9 RS232 port then use a pin compatible DB9 to 3.5mm cable. If the device/TV has a 3.5mm RS232 port then use a pin compatible 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo cable or a 3.5mm to 3.5mm crossover cable.
  4. Standard RS232 voltage levels apply.
  5. Ask your area sales rep about how to incorporate this feature into your system.
