Z-IP Decode 400 - Setting the Bootstrap Address
Any changes to the bootstrap multicast address will need updated on each Z-IP Decode 400 (STB) that will be deployed.
- Connect the Z-IP Decode 400 to the network.
- Connect via HDMI to a spare monitor. This will assist with finding the IP Address of the STB quickly.
- Connect the Power Adapter to the STB/Wall Outlet.
- Decode 400 also supports POE, local power may not be necessary.
Assuming the DHCP pools are set up, the box will boot to the tech screen and display its IP Address.
4. Open any Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and browse to https:// displayed ip address. (Be sure that you include the S on the http for a secure connection)
5. A Site Certificate warning message will appear, go to advanced options and override to browse to the STB interface.
6. Enter the Username & Password
1. Username: administrator
2. Password: iptvendpoint
7. Make the changes to the Time Server and Bootstrap Multicast IP as noted in the screenshot below to the STB.
8. Please note Time Server, Cluster Name, and Bootstrap IP should match the values in your Z-IP TV Portal.
9. Commit the password with “vitecdss” and re-boot the STB with “vitecdss”.
Assuming the STB sees multicast, it should re-boot once or twice on it’s own before loading the main viewing menu.
